Birthday Pictures & Sick Kids

I want to post Logan's B-day pics but since my hard drive crashed I realized I need to reload all of my picture programs! I will get Eddie to do that this week and get the pics up soon.

As for the sick kids...Logan seems to be feeling better. No more fever but still has a nasty cough. Brenden is feeling much better too. But now my Chaser is sick. He has a low fever and cough and stayed in bed all day today, poor baby.
I woke up this morning really drained with a sore throat so I just stayed in bed and rested til almost noon as well. I didn't have Kaiden (the little girl I watch) because she was home sick too.
Okay, off to bed. I'll get those pics up soon.

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY LOGAN!

I can't believe my baby is 3! Oh my goodness how time fly's. Today started out a little gloomy but cleared up by noon and turned into a GREAT day! Clear sky, sunny with a high of about 70, it was perfect. But he was a little under the weather, unfortunately. He still had a low fever and a runny nose, poor thing. But his party went well. The cake was so cute. I had a friend of a friend make it for me. She made a large round cake with train tracks and got a train 3d mold and put it on top and decorated it to look like Thomas. Then there were 20 cupcakes that went around the cake. He got lots of toys and some clothes, undies (since were potty training) PJ's and a Thomas swim shirt and trunk set. When he was done opening his presents we took him outside to see his gift from us. He was so happy to see his Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane! Got right in and took off riding for the next 2 hours!
Besides not feeling the best he had a great party =)
I will post the pics tomorrow evening.
I am SO tired and worn out!

My 100th Blog Entry!

Oh my goodness! I made it to 100, LOL! I must say I have been neglecting my blog lately. I've just been too busy or too tired lately. Then my hard drive crashed and I've been working on getting my computer back in order, that really sucked.
I've mostly been cleaning this house...getting it ready for Logan's birthday party which is tomorrow! I think it's pretty much as clean as it's going to get. Then at the last minute I decided to paint the hallway and the baseboards, it looks so much better. And we had to re-do the wood floors in the hallway because I guess we didn't put them in right the first time and they separated.
So tomorrow is Logan's 3rd B-day! We are having the party here at the house tomorrow at 2 p.m. The theme is Thomas the Train! Tonight I decorated the den and kitchen, it looks so good. I ordered the whole Thomas package through birthdayexpress.com and it makes it so much easier. While I did that Eddie was out back putting together Logan's gift. A Power Wheels Jeep Hurricane. Man, that thing is almost as big as a Toyota Echo! He's going to love it! I will write and post pics tomorrow evening.
I'm a little upset about 2 things though...all I asked was that it #1 NOT RAIN and #2 that no one gets sick. Well, it's supposed to rain, that sucks! The whole point of having the party here at the house was so that he could ride his Jeep as soon as he got it! So let's hope the rain goes somewhere else! And can you believe, my kids are NEVER sick but guess what happens tonight? Brenden is complaining of a headache and feels warm and Logan sat on the couch with a blanket for 4 hours without moving and also feels warm and has a cough! I mean c'mon...not now!
Let's hope they both wake up feeling better in the morning and NO RAIN!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Tonight Eddie and I got to go out for a nice dinner. I don't think we've been out for Valentine's in probably 12 years, since Brenden was born in 1995! Being I have found a sitter I can trust finally I called her 2 weeks ago and made the arrangements and Eddie called our favorite steak restaurant (Fleming's) but they were already booked! So we went to the second best steak place in town, Sullivan's. And we were lucky to get reservations there! Eddie heard on the radio today that every restaurant in town was booked. My goodness, I had no idea it was that crazy! I'm glad I stayed home all those years and cooked!

Anyway, last night Eddie and I left the kids with our neighbor friends and went to the mall. He bought me a new dress, necklace and shoes. And this evening before we left for dinner he gave me my gift...2 Mercedes purses, one was a small black evening purse and the other was a big brown seatbelt purse. It pretty neat, it's made out of car seatbelts only, the whole thing! For his gift I gave him (well, gonna give, it comes in tomorrow) a LED strip light thingy that goes on the back of the truck below the tailgate, above the bumper. Kinda like a 4th brakelight. I don't know, but they are in and cool and he wanted one!

So tonight, I went and picked up the sitter at 5, Eddie and I left at 6 and our reservation was for 6:30. We got there right on time and were seated right away. The first thing Eddie said was "I hope they dont have us packed in somewhere" and what do ya know, we were packed right in the middle! The place was crazy busy! The food and service were just okay but overall we had a nice time together just the 2 of us.

Can you believe this was our 20th Valentine's Day together??? Holy cow!

Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day =)

Resolutions!

Yeah, just a tad bit late on this one. Is there a certain date we're supposed to have these in by? LOL!
Okay, so Becky you had asked if I had any resolutions for the New Year. Yes, I do.
Here they are...
#1 Stop procrastinating! So far so good on this one. Well, except for posting these a little late! I have already bought and addressed my Valentine's Day cards so they are ready to send a week before. I have ordered all of Logan's birthday supplies and have everything planned 1 month ahead, Yea!

#2 Quit smoking! Not so good on this one. But I have cut back a good bit.

#3 Clean and organize house AND keep it that way ALL year long! Working on this and doing pretty good.

#4 Lose weight! Not doing so great on this one either. But I am going to get on it and work real hard to be 40 lbs. lighter by the end of the year.

And that's about it. I think. Oh yeah, and #5...Remember things better! Since having the kids I feel like I am losing my mind and can never remember anything!

Logan Funnies!

Logan (almost 3) is my little crazy clown boy =) He's so funny and such a goofball!
Funny #1-
Okay, so Saturday we went to a Birthday party and he got a treat sack. We're riding home and he was digging through it and pulls out a small container of Playdoh. He starts begging me to open it so I do and hand it back to him. A few seconds later I hear him say "EW, THIS IS GROSS" and he's making spitting sounds! I look back and there are teethmarks in the Playdoh! He tried to EAT it, LOL!! We all just laughed so hard.
So now you're probably wondering WHY my child tried to EAT it and didn't know he was supposed to PLAY with it, right? Well, I did the playdoh thing with Brenden & Chase and I HATE the mess that it makes! It gets everywhere then dries up and ick I just don't like it. So I've just never let Logan play with it. Maybe this Spring I'll let he & Kaiden play with some OUTSIDE on their picnic table!

Funny #2-
Last night I was looking online at birthdayexpress.com for his birthday supplies. We were looking at Thomas the Train party stuff and I was showing him what we were getting. Then all of the sudden he says what I hear as "f*ckinknife". So I'm like WHAT? He says "I want f*ckinknife"! I didn't know what to say or do, so I say watch your mouth we don't say bad words like that. And he's like "NO Mommy, I WANT f*ckinknife for my birfay (birthday)! And points to the computer screen where yep, there it is... a PICTURE of a FORK AND KNIFE!!!!! Oh my goodness, I was laughing so hard!

Here's a picture of him at another birthday party we went to on Jan. 6, playing in the jumpy ball pit thing-

Been Really Busy!

I went from posting every day to not posting in almost 10 days! Sorry! Once we started back to home schooling on the 8th things have gotten hectic again. I've been writing/making thank you cards, cleaning the house and getting everything ready for Logan's 3rd Birthday party that we're having here on Sat. Feb. 16th. I know it might seem a little early BUT with me being a procrastinator and all I figured I should get started early! A lot of the supplies I buy online so if I order early I'll be sure to have them in time =)
Okay off to write a few more posts before I forget them!

Finally, Our Christmas and Pictures!

A little late here! Our Christmas was great. I got my new camera and love it =) I got Eddie the iHome dock for his iPods. And the boys got lots of neat stuff. From Santa Logan got a new bike and Bren & Chase got Rockband for the X-box 360. We have had a blast with that! Their main gift from us were the BB guns and Logan got a FAKE one! We also got him a Thomas the Train set. They got X-box games and PSP games and cars and all sorts of goodies. We had a nice time at my parents house for Christmas lunch. And an okay time at Eddie's parents house for Christmas dinner.
And now here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and day, I put them in a slideshow format for easier viewing.
Enjoy =)

Still Busy!

I took the outside Christmas decorations down Thursday. Now the house looks so blah! But no fear! Mardi Gras is Feb. 5th so it's time to decorate again, LOL! Then comes Easter, but after that it's pretty dull again until halloween.
My parents left Friday to go back to New Jersey. I will miss them. Hopefully they will get the house there sold and be back here soon.
It got really, really cold here this week...20's at night and 40's during the day. But yesterday and today it was back in the 70's and the kids played outside ALL day! They are killing me, I have things I need to do inside but instead have to be outside watching them. So I've got nothing done! Then at night we play X-box 360 Rockband. Chase plays the drums, Brenden plays the guitar, I sing on the microphone and Logan whines the whole time b/c he can't play! It sure is fun though =)

So Many Pictures, So Little Time!

I am still going through my pictures, there are so many. Cropping and editing is a bitch! But I like my pictures perfect =) I am going to put them in a slideshow format through photobuckethopefully by tomorrow night!

Eddie's Last Day Off =(

Eddie has been off since Christmas and we have really enjoyed having him home =) Although, I think I gained 10 more lbs. between holiday meals and his good cooking! So today we just hung out then went to the movies to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. Which by the way is a great movie, I highly recommend it. Then again, I have always LOVED the chipmunks!
Tonight I took the Christmas tree down =( I always hate that, I wish it could be Christmas all year long! And Eddie cooked us one last yummy dinner...pork shoulder, mashed potatoes and corn. Well, it wasn't his last, he does cook on the weekends just not during the week.
And just now Brenden felt a bump on the back of the cat's neck and it was a tick! EW, EW, EW! We don't usually let the cat in, he's an outdoor cat but it's going to be like 20 degrees tonight and I didn't want him to freeze! So, I went online and typed im "how to remove tick from cat"! It was pretty simple. Eddie got some pliers and I got the alcohol and cortisone cream. He grabbed it at the base and gently pulled it out and put it in the toilet, I cleaned the spot with alcohol and then rubbed cortisone cream on it. Now we'll keep an eye on it.
I can't believe how cold it is! Our high today was only 41 and right now it's 27 with a wind chill of 19 which is fricken freezing to me!
Becky asked if I had any resolutions for 2008...I did, LOL! But so far am not doing so good! I'll write those out tomorrow.
And I promise I have pics coming soon.
Goodnight and stay warm =)

So Tired

Oh, I am so tired! Yesterday I made cookies, got fireworks and went to the store to get ready for our New Year's party at my parents house. We got over there around 7, a little early but Eddie had to set up his propane and burner to reheat the humongo pot of chicken and sausage gumbo he made. While he did that my mom and I set out the other food and I cooked some rice for the gumbo. She had tons of dips and chips and crackers along with some boiled shrimp. I also made a cheese tray, sugar cookies and brought some meatballs and BBQ sauce in the crock pot. A little after 8 the adopted Grandparents Kathy and Sonny came over. Kathy made her awesome punch and some dips. We ate the gumbo and shrimp around 8:30 then snacked on all the other goodies and then everyone started drinking! Well, I think Eddie had already started while cooking the gumbo! I, being the designated driver (and I really don't drink that much anyway) drank the punch and spiked it with just a tad of crown royal. The rest of the night I just drank the punch.
It was actually pretty cold last night so everyone stayed inside most of the time talking and eating while me, Eddie, my brother and his fiance stayed outside watching the kids pop their fireworks. A little after 10 Eddie's parents came over...wasn't expecting that. Each year we invite them and they never show.
At midnight another neighbor came by to watch us do our fireworks show. This is the guy that came by last year and Logan, my child who doesn't go to anyone went to this guy. So when he walked up again this year, and Logan hasn't seen him all year, what do ya know Logan went right to him again! It's too weird! Anyway, Eddie had bought some big fireworks so we set those off at midnight and they were pretty cool. Along with the other fireworks across the lake, it was a good show. Then the kids started popping the rest of their little fireworks when a truck came by, it was Eddie's brother, his wife, her sister & boyfriend and another guy. They came in to visit for a bit and the other 3 were drunk in the back of her suburban! They and Eddie's parents left shortly after. So the kids stayed out popping fireworks while we cleaned up and ate some more! We didn't leave until 2:30. Got home safely and into bed by 3.
Eddie was SO wasted! I knew that today he would be out and was right. He was hurting all day and stayed in bed while I cleaned and made cupcakes to take to my parents house at 4. We went over there to eat our traditional black eyed peas and cabbage (although I forgot to make the corn bread, darn it) And yes, for my Northern friends this is a Southern tradition...to eat black eyes peas, cabbage and cornbread is supposed to bring good luck, health and wealth in the New Year =) Not sure if it works, but it sure is good!
When we got home at 7 Eddie was up and feeling better so I cooked him some black eyed peas with rice and cornbread (didn't feel like make the cabbage). As soon as I was done with that I told them dinner was ready and me and Logan went to bed at 8. Unfortunately, he thought it was a nap and woke up, ugh. Hopefully we'll get back to bed in just a bit!
I have lots of pics to share but am trying to make it easier by doing a slide show. So I'll work on that tomorrow and post about our Christmas soon too!
We hope you all had a very Happy New Year! I hope this year brings all the best for y'all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy one!

So Busy!

I have lots to write about but Eddie has been off since Christmas so we've been enjoying our family time together, shopping, playing, cooking and watching movies.
He goes back to work on the 3rd but then we will be spending that day with my parents because they are leaving to go back to New Jersey on the 4th and who knows how long it will be before we see them again. Then on Friday we will be spending time with the adopted Grandparents.
Right now we are cooking Chicken gumbo and watching the Simpson's Movie.
So I'll write about our Christmas and New Years this coming weekend when things calm down around here!

A Playful Christmas Evening =)

What a wonderful, exciting, busy day we had. The kids are happily playing with all of their toys and we parents are exhausted! They got lots of stuff and we even found some secret Santa gifts on our porch this morning! And no, we didn't do it and I'm not 100% sure who did but it was a nice surprise =)
I'm tired so I'm turning in but I'll write about our day tomorrow and post some pics that I took with my new camera!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Goodnight.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

December 24

Wow! Today was a busy day! Eddie had to work so the kids and I slept in til about 10. I got up and slowly got going but the minutes were just flying by. So I got ready, got the kids ready and started baking sugar cookies. After I finished we made a quick trip to Walmart for 2 things and to drop off some Christmas cards to our favorite workers there. Then some McD's for lunch and when we got home a little after 1 Eddie was already home. I took a break to eat but then had to ice the cookies, clean, and start cooking for our dinner with the "Adopted" Grandparents. It doesn't really seem like much, but my goodness I was busy up until the second they got there. The Grandparents came over for 6 and I had some yummy starters waiting...cheese, pretzels, tostitos, wheat thins and an awesome spinach and artichoke dip that I had a friend make for us. For dinner I made Spaghetti with meat sauce, meatballs on the side, salad and garlic bread. And for dessert we had cherry pie, honey cakes and sugar cookies. After we ate it was time to open presents with them. The kids were so excited! Brenden and Chase got remote control helicopters, Logan got a Leapster L-Max with a Thomas the Train game and then she had given them a HUGE stocking that she had decorated herself with the kids names. It had lots of cute little toys like cars and bath stuff and these really cute little drumming Santa's and bears that are really loud! She gave Eddie and I some Snoopy Christmas decorations that light up and hang on the window, which was really cool because I had almost bought one of them a few weeks ago! She also gave me a new ornament for my tree that was a ball with an angel that reads "I believe in Angels and you're the reason why". She calls me her angel, it was so sweet =) And she also gave me a glass angel to add to my collection, so now I have 11. I will have to take a picture so y'all can see. We gave them the present from the kids, we got them an ornament with 3 little bears in a stocking that read "Grandma and Grandpa's Sweetie's and on each bear was a kids name. Eddie and I gave them a $50 gift certificate to Corky's BBQ.
Speaking of taking pictures though, Eddie let me open my present tonight so that I would be able to use it Christmas morning! He got me an Olympus Stylus 730 digital camera! It's Awesome, I love it! And the kids got me a memory card and a carrying case so I got to open that too! I took some pictures and they are so much better quality, it's got a huge display screen and it's so easy to use, I'm so happy! I will post some new pics on Wednesday b/c I am so busy until then!
Right now I am trying to make sure the kids are really asleep so I can do what I need to do, if ya know what I mean ;) I am SO tired too but can't go to bed yet, UGH! Then I'm sure we'll be up early tomorrow, doing presents, eating breakfast, getting ready, getting kids ready, gotta bake 2 casseroles! And be at my parents house for 1:30, eat there, open presents, play then head home, unload car, bake 2 more casseroles, rest (yeah, right) then be at Eddie's parents for 5:30! Eat AGAIN! open presents and then we usually don't get home until midnight! Oh my, I'm getting dizzy!
So much to do but yet so worth it and the kids have a blast. So wish me strength and luck!
I hope you all have a great day tomorrow!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night =)

PS...Chase is still stirring, he needs to go to bed! And a funny about Logan...he took his Leapster to bed with him! And when we told him to put it away he tucked it under his legs, so sweet =)

December 23

Tonight was dinner with my parents. My Dad is in town from New Jersey. They came over at 5:30 and I had cooked baked ham, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, asparagus and rolls. And for dessert I made my honey cakes and fudge. We had a nice dinner then sat around talking for a bit after. It was nice to be able to spend some time with my parents.
After, Eddie, the kids and I hoped in the car and went looking at Christmas lights.

December 22

Ah Saturday! One of my favorite days =) Not too much planned for today. I made a big trip to the store for all the stuff I need to bake and cook for our Christmas eve dinner with the "adopted" grandparents and then for my parents and Eddie's parents houses on Christmas day. That was hectic! There were like a million people doing the same thing, it was crazy. I had more things I need to do but a big storm was coming so I decided to go home. Of course Eddie decides he wants popcorn that evening and I went out to get it with Logan right as the storm was coming through, real smart :/ Lots of rain, wind and temp dropped about 20 degrees!
Tonight Eddie cooked dinner for us and after we all sat and watched a movie and ate popcorn.
